Prevention — but make it meaningful.

We saw the gap: resources were limited, and visually appealing ones were even harder to find. So we created what we wished existed — prevention materials that are modern, relatable, and thoughtfully designed.

Our work is rooted in empowerment, protective factors, and real connection.

No fear-based messaging. No outdated clichés. Just tools that speak to people in ways that feel authentic and relevant.

Because prevention can be both effective and beautiful.

about scare tactics — it’s about connection, skills, and support.

Our Story

About us

Hi, I’m Courtney! a prevention professional with nearly a decade of experience in the drug-free coalition and prevention field. I also work as a graphic designer and photographer, blending creative communication with evidence-based prevention strategies to support youth and communities.

I started The Prevention Edit because I noticed a gap in the materials available for coalitions and prevention professionals. So much of what was out there felt outdated, overly “cheesy,” or just didn’t connect with today’s youth and communities. I knew there had to be a better way to communicate prevention in a way that feels modern, aesthetic, and actually engaging.

My goal is to help shift prevention messaging into something that feels real, relatable, and visually strong — without losing the impact behind the message.

Through this page, I’ll be sharing creative content, ideas, and resources that coalitions can actually use and feel confident putting out into their communities.

Thanks for being here — I’m excited to build this with you.
